Paola Blanco is a freelance social media manager and small business site designer.

Paola is the creative behind the How Accessible blog. She hunts down accessibility resources and plans, writes, and films post to show ways to make things easier for people with different mobility needs.

Before taking on her role at How Accessible, she managed content for sites in the tech and health industry.

Besides working on HA as her passion project, she’s been known to travel internationally on a whim, craft budget friendly cosplay costumes, and kick butt at obscure tabletop games.

Samantha devotes her time to advocating on behalf of others with disabilities and making meaningful connections with non-profit organizations in Tampa that foster this community’s independence. 

She is an ambassador and spokesperson for ABLE United, where she shares the importance of the ABLE Act and purpose for ABLE accounts to spread the message that people with disabilities can save for their futures without jeopardizing their federal benefits eligibility. 

She is also a certified Work Incentives Practitioner where she does benefit planning with people living with disabilities who want to work. 

In her spare time, she participates in adaptive sports and was recently recruited to be on the Paralympic USA Table Tennis team 

Her most recent achievement is she was just crowned at the 47th Annual Be the Change…Be Empowered Conference and Gala as Ms. Wheelchair Florida 2020. Samantha hopes she can expand transportation services for all while continuing to promote diversity, inclusion, and awareness for the disabled community.

Maria Blanco is Paola’s twin sister. Maria has a BA in English and a minor in Spanish.

She is a book lover. One of her favorites is The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. When Maria is not reading you can find her watching the latest slice of life anime.

She also enjoys singing along to 60’s doo-wop music when the mood strikes her. In her spare time, she dabbles in baking and jigsaw puzzles but not at the same time.
